Obituary

Addie Della Wallace was born to the late Thomas Lee,
Sr., and the late Mamie Wesley Moore on November 14, 1924, in
Texarkana, TX. She was married to the late Joe B. Wallace for fortyeight
years. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1942. She
gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of
Hopewell CME Temple until her health failed. Even in her sickness,
she continued studying her weekly Sunday school lessons, reading
her Bible, and remaining faithful in her tithes and obligations she
had to serve and honor God and her church. She was faithful to the
very end of her life here on earth.

Addie loved the Lord and enjoyed studying the Bible. She was invited
to join a Bible class at Polly Chapel Baptist Church, which is known
as Tuesday Morning Bible Class (TMBC). She gladly accepted the
invite and studied for eight years faithfully. She was loved and adored by the members of her
group. She was recognized for her knowledge in her Bible study and being the Bible scholar she
was. She was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed.

She also worked at St. Michael's Hospital downtown for a number of years. She then moved to
Wadley Hospital, where she worked for thirty-plus years before retiring.

Addie departed this life on June 14, 2020, in Mesquite, Texas, and joins her loving husband, Joe
Bailey Wallace; father, Thomas Lee, Sr.; mother, Mamie Wesley Moore; daughter, Cheryl Ann
