On May 20th, 1936 in Caddo Parish, Louisiana a beautiful baby girl named Annie
Mae Nard was born to the late Nasrose and Bertha Nard. She gained her heavenly
wings on July 10th, 2024.

Annie Mae grew up and went to school in Mandeville, Arkansas. She was a very
courageous and bold little girl who enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to fish, hunt
and target practice. She was quite the marksman, and the protector of her family.
As a young woman, she married Elder Opheline Henry Sr. and moved to Houston,
Texas where she gave birth to seven of her eight children. After living in Houston
for many years, she moved back to Texarkana and later met the love of her life,
Rev. Moore Lee Franks and gave birth to her last-born child.

Annie Mae was a hard-working woman. She retired from Lonestar Ammunition
Plant. At times she worked two jobs while raising small children and maintaining
an immaculate home. She was a gorgeous woman whose hair and attire were
always flawless; yet she was very diverse. She could change a flat tire, shoot a gun
with the best of them, sew a dress by hand and cook from scratch like a chef. Her
husband called her a "Self-Made Woman", and that she was.

Annie Mae gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a devout Woman of
God. She was a worship leader and a Sunday school teacher at her church home,
Wallace Memorial Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of
Superintendent Neotis Roberson. She loved to sing and to worship God. She even
wrote praise and worship songs.

Mother Franks was known for her beautiful smile, her warm embrace and her
unwavering love for others. She was such an elegant woman whose beauty shined
both inside and out. She never met a stranger and she loved out loud. Her heart
was big, and she willingly gave pieces of it to her family, friends and anyone that
she came in contact with. Despite having a huge family, Annie Mae had a natural
ability to form a unique bond with each and every person. Everyone felt as if they
were her favorite. To know her was to love her.

There will never be another Annie Mae Nard Franks.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her Parents: Nasrose and Bertha Nard; One
and Only Son: Opheline Henry Jr.; Bonus Daughter: Renae "Peaches" Franks;
Grandchildren: Rosiland Mitchell, Rodney Washington, Derrick Henry and
LaPrense Willis; Siblings: Leoda Nard Soloman, Carrie Cooksey, Zenobia Gladney,
Amos Nard and Matthew Nard.

Left to Cherish Her Beautiful Memories: her loving husband: Rev. Moore Lee Franks; seven daughters: Rosie Bridges, Bertha (Van) Alexander, Loretta Strayhan, Barbara (Darrius) Gray, Doris (Paul) Raphu, Brenda Henry and Jackie (Tyrone) Teddleton; Siblings: Loria (Homer)
McQueen, Joseph Nard Sr. and Deborah Nard. Mother Franks was blessed with 26 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.
