Anthony Wayne Dollarhide born March 21, 1965, to the parents of the late Samuel L. Bishop Sr. and Georgia Thompson in Texarkana, Tx. He was a graduate of New Boston High class of 1983. Tony went on to further his education and studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, studied Criminal Justice at Texarkana College, and studied Mathematics at Texas A&M University-Texarkana where he received a master's in Education Admin Class of 2006. He was a former corrections officer at Arkansas Department of Corrections from 89 til 91, from there he became a D. A. R. E. officer at Bowie County Sheriff Dept. Where he truly had a great impact in the Bowie County community. March 22, 1997, he became Police Chief of Texarkana ISD until his health caused him to retire. He was a proud member of Prosperity Baptist Church until his date of departure. Tony was a member of Theta Upsilon chapter of Omega PSI Fraternity Inc. He was also a part of the East Texas Soul Riders. He was a member of Sunset Lodge #1 Macedonia. He was a Faithful member of SBLE TCPA Texas School District Police Chiefs Association, along with many other law enforcement associations.

He leaves to cherish his memories Georgia Ann Thompson(mother); Kiera Webb(daughter); 3 grandchildren, Dereoan & A'Layah Johnson, Amari Webb and his goddaughter Tyler Shavers (Jayde Barker); siblings, Samuel L. Bishop Jr. (Maricela), Fredrick Bishop (Natasha), Schnequa Hutchins (Galen), Scottie Jones (Kecha), Sharonda Price, Crystal Rogers (Keith); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews and friends who he loved dearly.
