Arlene Jackson, 81 of Texarkana, Texas died on Monday, May 11, 2026. There is no service planned at this time.

Arlene was born to Jennie and Edmund Maskewit in Keshena, Wisconsin. After graduating from Coleman High School she moved to Evanston, Illinois to become a pediatric nurse, where she met her husband Curtis Jackson, Sr. They married and had two children, Curtis Jackson, Jr. and Joni Jackson. Upon Curtis' retirement, the family relocated to New Boston, Texas where Arlene landed a career as a medical biller for Dr. Austin Reeves and retired from that position. In 2020 she lost her granddaughter Alexis Marie Pree (her bug) definitely left her broken hearted. Arlene passed away peacefully at Hospice of Texarkana the day after Mother's Day. Those preceding her in death: Alexia Marie Pree, her husband - Curtis Jackson, Sr., close sister and niece Diane (Leonard Perkins) and Jenny Perkins, also her parents Marie and Jack Clark. She leaves to cherish her memory - her two children, Joni and Curtis (Tsion) 3 grandchildren - Eugene House, Daylan Jackson and Mercedes Jackson                                    5 great-grandchildren - Kamiya Jackson, Aliyah, Darren, Elijah and Chanel. Brothers and sisters - Tom, Darrell, Dawn and Tammy Clark.       Beloved in-laws - Nellie and Dennis Jackson, Johnnie and Bryant Matthews, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins                                                 a very special niece - Andrea Perkins-Newson.  Very important friends - Deana Dyer, Veronica and Renee.

Arlene will be greatly missed and loved eternally.
