Mr. Arthur Gene Collins, 71, of Texarkana, AR, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

Arthur Gene Collins was born July 11, 1950 in Atlanta, Texas to Troy Collins and Earlene Sumlin. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Fannie Burns, Sandra Sasser and Velma Smith.

Arthur attended and graduated from Atlanta Public Schools. He was gainfully employed at the Pickle Factory for many years.

Arthur was a compassionate and faithful caregiver for his special friend. He was blessed with many talents such as a carpenter, farmer, mechanic and used his talents to be a blessing to many.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son Hishiek Collins, one daughter Debara Harper (Scottie), two sisters:  Evelyn Fletcher and Laura Davis, a Special friend: Lola Hamilton, his grandchildren: Lamont Byrd, Decarius Creer and Destance Collins and two great-grandchildren: Wesley and Donnie Dean.

Services under the direction of Haynes Mortuary will be on this wise: Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary; funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas E. Haynes Memorial Chapel, burial will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens following the service.
