Barbara Jean Armstrong Willard, of Texarkana, TX, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 28, 1937 to the late Arling Armstrong, Sr. and the late Mattie B. Armstrong, the ninth of ten children. Nine siblings and spouses preceded her in death: Arling Armstrong II (Olivet), Ollie Marie Houff (Zebidee), Orlando Draper "O.D." Armstrong, (Bernice), Mary E. Story, Ruth E. LeGardye (Alvin), William Armstrong, Bennie F. Gumas (Fredrick), Mayme L. Riley (James) and Lillian Bertha Armstrong. Surviving brother-in-law Philip V. Story.
Barbara was married to the late William (Bill) Willard and to this union six children were born. Preceding her in death were two daughters, Michelle Willard-Rhone and Neina V. King. She is survived by one daughter, Neisha A. Federick; three sons, Michael (Rochelle), Derise and Rajuan Willard, eight grandchildren, Karmita and Kenyon Federick, Quinshayla Willard, Zanechia King, Cordnie Jackson, Le'Cordrette Benton, Courtney Williams and Porsche Hudson; sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Bonus children includes Rickey, Reginald, William II, and Regina Willard; Orsuleic Larry, Renita Davis, Sonya Smith, William "Rusty" Henderson and Cecelia Williams; nine bonus grandchildren, twenty four bonus great-grandchildren, and eleven bonus great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara also leaves to cherish her memory a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
