Our mother, Bethel Lee Jones-Davis, gained her wings on December 13, 2024. Bethel Lee Jones-Davis, 94 of Texarkana, Texas transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a long and fulfilling life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Bethel was born August 25, 1930 in Ogden, Arkansas. Bethel met and married Samuel Jones at an early age. Five children were born to their union. Later, she was blessed with three additional children. Bethel retired from Red River Army Depot as a Material Classifier and Sorter after 12 years of service.

Bethel was known for her kindness and compassion. She dedicated her life to her family. Bethel was always there with a listening ear and warm embrace.

Bethel was preceded in death by her parents, Princess Lee Robinson and Thomas Green, her husband, Samuel Jones, Sr., and her children, Samuel Jones, Jr., George Jones, and Cheryl Glenn.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted children, Willis Jones of Indianapolis, IN, Bertha Jones of Houston, TX, Mary Scoggins-Robinson (Hershel), Ricky Davis (Mary) and Ken Davis of Atlanta, GA; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and cousins.
