Betty Hunter, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2019, with her loving family surrounding her. Betty was born to the late Pervie and Fairy Dell Witcher on October 19, 1942 in Texarkana, TX.

She was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1960 as well as a retired teacher's aide where she worked in both Texarkana Independent and Liberty Eylau School Districts for over 40 years. She was an active member in her community as well as with the Zeta Amicae of Texarkana, TX.

She is survived by the love of her life, Mr. Robert "Buck" Hunter; four sons and daughters in law, Robert K. Hunter, Sr. (Kimberly), Richard Hunter, Sr. (LaSanya), Dennis Hunter and Craig Monroe (Kasey); two daughters and son in law, Charlotte Craver and Kathi Williams (Rufeno); three sisters, Annie James, Mary Jones, and Dessie Benton; one brother and sister in law, Arthur B. Witcher (Mickey) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 5 PM – 7 PM, Friday, December 6, 2019 at Haynes Mortuary. Homegoing services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Sunset Missionary Baptist Church, Texarkana, Texas with Rev. Richard Blackwell. Burial will follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Wake Village, Texas under the direction of Haynes Mortuary. A Celebration of Life event will be held at 1600 Waterall immediately after burial.
