Betty Jo Mitchell-Werthman was born August 25, 1941 in Bivins, Texas to the late Victor Mitchell, Sr. and Dollie DeBose.
Betty received her master's degree at University of California, Berkeley.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memory: nephews, Victor A. Mitchell III and Leander U. Mitchell; nieces, Colanda D. Mitchell, Melinda G. Mitchell, Yvonda J. Mitchell and Shawntel Mitchell; as well as a host of grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins, and other extended family members.
