Billie Jo Sasser, 84, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2020, with her family by her side in Atlanta, Texas.

She was born March 31, 1936, in Atlanta to Springfield and Lula Mae Johnson.

She attended Corpus Christi High School in Chicago, Illinois and retired from Day &
Zimmermann Lone Star. Her interests included spending time with family, sewing, gardening,
traveling, reading, and working crossword puzzles. She loved cooking for her family during the holiday season. She created individual specialty
dishes for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Keener; Paula Kirby; Rodney Sasser; Michael Sasser;
Anthony (Christy) Sasser and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great
grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters LaJean Bailey and Marlys Johnson; and her
brother Martin Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Dewayne Sasser and her parents, Springfield and
Lula Mae Johnson.

The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to all medical professionals, church

Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, at First Baptist Church 207 Allday St.,
Atlanta, Texas. Service will begin immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
