Parents: The late Mr. Andrew Reed and Rosie Lee Reynolds
Religious Affiliation: During his early years, Bill attended Griffith Chapel CME Church, where he served as head of trustees, a steward, was in the male choir, and was over the Ministry to Men program. After moving to Texarkana, he joined New Zion Baptist Church, where he served as a devoted member.
Education: Clark High School of Ladonia, Texas
Employment: He was a retired Air Force Veteran. Bill retired from the Cotton Belt Railroad after working for 36 years. He was also the President of the NAACP in Commerce, Texas, where he received several awards. Bill received several Martin Luther King, Jr. awards and served the city of Commerce well.

Two Brothers: Isaiah Norris and James Reed
Two Sisters: Pearlene Reynolds Owens and Bessie Baker
Others: A host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Billy Reed, Jr.; four brothers, Robert Mackey, Sr., Andrew Reed, Henry Reed, and Richard; and one sister, Mildred McKinney
