Bonnie Faye Lewis-Battle was born in Corley, Texas April 10, 1934 to the parentage of William Lee Lewis and Ruby Robinson-Lewis.

Bonnie attended and graduated from Dunbar High School. She was a member of Atlanta Street Church of Christ. She was a dedicated nurse for many years before retiring from Wadley Regional Medical Center.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who truly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by several family members: Christine Battle-James, Ruby Battle-Brown, Clifton Battle, Monica Stiger, William Robinson, Jr., Bobby Ray Lewis, Joe Lewis, Ruben Lewis, James Arthur Lewis and Romeo Lewis.

Those left with many precious and treasured  memories are: her daughter - Phyllis Goodnight, her son – Arthur Ray Battle, her sister – Dorothy Joe Burnett, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, twenty-four great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11 ^th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Funeral services under the directions of Haynes Mortuary will be Thursday, January 12 ^th at Transformation Center International. Burial will follow at the Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
