Obituary

Brianna Nicole Maxwell was born on May 6, 1993, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to Ruben and Beverly Garland Maxwell. On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Brianna peacefully departed this life at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with her mother lovingly by her side.

Brianna was a proud 2011 graduate of Horatio High School in Horatio, Arkansas. Following high school, she continued her education at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, and later attended the University of Arkansas–Cossatot Community College in DeQueen, Arkansas, where she earned her Associate’s Degree. During her time at UCA, Brianna discovered her voice, strengthened her love for people, and embraced her ability to bring joy and laughter wherever she went.

From an early age, Brianna was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in DeQueen, Arkansas, where she developed a foundation of faith and community.

Brianna had a vibrant spirit and truly enjoyed life. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and especially loved her fur babies. Her love for animals was instilled in her by her father at an early age and remained a special part of who she was throughout her life. While in high school, Brianna was an active member of FFA, where she proudly showcased goats and pigs. She quickly discovered that children might not have been her calling—but animals were definitely something she could handle!

Brianna was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent much of her professional life in customer service. In 2023, Brianna relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she began a new chapter of her life. She worked for USAA Insurance and later Paycom, where she served in the tax department. Most recently, Brianna had accomplished another personal goal by obtaining her Real Estate License and joining Salt Real Estate.

Brianna will be remembered for her genuine love for people, her independent spirit, her sense of humor, her hard work, and her ability to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Though her time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories Brianna shared will continue to live on in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ruben Maxwell; one sister, Miranda Maxwell; one brother, Rodney Maxwell; and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Mother, Beverly Garland Maxwell of Horatio, Arkansas; two brothers, Jarrod Maxwell of Lockesburg, Arkansas and Reganale (Angela) Williams of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; three nieces, LaQuanta Maxwell of Texarkana, Texas, Jakila (Bau) Matumona of Independence, lowa and Tamyra Lewis of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; three nephews, Juane Maxwell of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Jaylon (Dulce) Britt of Nashville, Arkansas and Anthony Williams of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; two aunts, Shirley Maxwell Piggee of Lockesburg, Arkansas and Deborah (Michael) Crow of Gurdon, Arkansas; two godbrothers, DeMarco Piggee of Nashville, Arkansas and Keon Piggee of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; 2 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
