Obituary

Bridgett Michell Riley was born March 21, 1965 in Texarkana, Texas to the late Florine Lampkins and James A. Riley and her step-father Ellis Wilson. God called her home on June 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lorene Vaughn and Bernice Edmond, her sister, Gwen Wilson, aunts, Annie Vaughn and Vickie Brown, uncles, Morris Dedmon and Glen Alexander, cousin, Renita Brown, and many other relatives.

Bridgett accepted Christ at an early age at the Martin Chapel CME Church of Redwater, Texas where she sang in the choir and served as an usher. She also helped on the food committee and anywhere else that she could including bible study.

Bridgett was a graduate of Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas. She worked as a caregiver/CNA. She was caring person that had a smile that would light up any room. She enjoyed doing anything that made her and anyone else happy. "Big Sexy", as she was lovingly called, was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her...most of all the large family she enjoyed spending time with.

She leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Schulandria Lampkins of Texarkana, Texas, Brenda Wilson of New Boston, Texas and Jeanette Lampkins of Ashdown, Arkansas; brothers, James R. Riley (Rose), Ricky Riley (Sharon), Michael Wilson and Bryant Wilson (Linda) of Texarkana, Texas, James A. Riley Jr. (Birgit) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Anthony Riley (Alleen) of Pensacola, Florida; special nephews, Telvin Wilson and Ricky Williams of Texarkana, Texas and Marlin Riley Walker of San Antonio, Texas; special great-nephew, Telvin Wilson Jr.; special nieces, Jazzmin Johnson, Resheeka William Cooper and Keyhira Willis of Texarkana, Texas; special great-nieces, Ah'Lonie Heard; special friends, Betty Kyle, Pam Bradley and Rose Johnson
