Carlette Daniels was born and raised in Waco, Texas on October 1, 1957 to the late Nola and Herman Daniels. She was a graduate of University High School. Later in life she continued her education at McLennan Community College and ultimately received her associate degree in hospitality from University of Pheonix.

Carlette loved God, ministry, cooking, reading books, listening to music, and playing dominos. She also had a heart for helping battered and abused women and children.

Carlette later relocated to Hooks, Texas where she raised her three children. Hooks eventually became her second home. She enjoyed volunteering at the Women's Shelter.

Carlette departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Damarrion Shackleford.

She leaves to cherish lasting memories: children, Arianna Shackleford (CJ), Brianna Daniels and Stephen Daniels; grandchildren, CJ Shackleford, Jr., DK Shackleford, Khya Shackleford, SJ Shackleford, Stephen Daniels, Jr. and Vonsay Daniels; sisters, Deborah Sims and Elaine Daniels Simmons; brother, Cleveland Daniels; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
