Carlos Adam Compton 43 of Texarkana, Texas died Friday, April 10th in a local hospital.

Carlos's Journey

Carlos Adam Compton, a beloved son of the late Kathi Compton Mowrer and the late Carl Compton died Friday, April 10, 2026 at Christus St. Michael Hospital.

Carlos was a 2001 graduate of Liberty-Eylau High School .
He played Center for the 1999 L-E Leopards football team that finished the season as the Texas Class 3A Division State Champions. Carlos was also named to the 1999 All District Second Team Offense. Following his 2001 graduation, Carlos's interest in technology lead him to attend DeVry University in Irving, Texas where he earned certification in Computer Technology. Upon graduation he was employed as a help desk troubleshooter for Verizon. He returned to Texarkana and was employed by International Paper which became Graphic Packaging International.

Carlos began his Christian experience at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of Rev. Windsor Archie and spiritual leadership of Rev. Phillip Willis, Sr. He served on the Junior Usher Board and sang in the youth choir. He always enjoyed attending Sunday School and Vacation Bible School with his beloved Grandmother.

Just as Carlos was a beloved son, he was also a caring brother, friend and a dedicated and loving caregiver for his grandfather. Carlos's easygoing demeanor allowed him to develop friendships with both young and old alike.

Carlos will be lovingly remembered by his Bonus Father, Charles Mowrer; his devoted grandfather, Henry C. Henderson; daughters, SaMari and Kira, his brothers Cameron "Cam" Miller, Jimmy and John Mowrer; and sister, Therese Mowrer. He will also be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many co-workers and friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the Haynes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Henry Keener and Rev. Phillip Willis, Sr. conducting the service.
