Catherine "Cat" J. Richardson-bell was born December 9, 1952 in Texarkana, TX to the late L.G. and Corine Richardson. She was the 7th of 10 children. Cat accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church because her parents believed in exposing their children to the biblical word of God. She continued those teachings by being a faithful  servant of God working in the church and being a part of several ministries.

Cat attended Texarkana College where she studied Business Administration. While at Texarkana College, she was offered an internship with Red River Army Depot, which led to an astonishing tenure of 50 years of employment. As a dedicated leader, she traveled to Iraq to explore many opportunities as a General Supply Specialist GS-11/Chief Investigator. She maintained those titles until her untimely demise.

Cat was a beautiful woman who exhibited poise, grace and pure elegance. She loved fashion and would always make sure that every time she stepped into an element it was a picture of beauty displayed by her fashion etiquette. She was loving and general in her approach to those she sincerely loved. Cat was a loving mother to her first born son, Kendrick Gibson, whom she cherished raising until she married Billy Bell, Sr. This union enhanced their family by adding a daughter, Katreece Bell, and son, Billy Bell, Jr. Cat was dedicated, hard-working and lived life to the fullest, enjoying shopping, time with her friends and family, and most of all being a mother and Nana.

She journeyed to Heaven on June 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by: her parents, L.G. and Corine Richardson; brother, Welton Richardson; sisters, Velma Lee Richardson, Alma Joyce Richardson and Betty Chambers; loving niece, Richelle Richardson-Walters; precious angel grandchildren, Kayden and Karson Jackson; fur baby, Prince "Baby" Bell.

Cat leaves to cherish: her loving children, Kendrick Gibson (Destine), Katreece Bell, Billy Bell, Jr. (Kaytlan) and  step-daughter, KaDeidre Bell; her beautiful grandchildren, Kason Jackson, Jaia Jackson and Jaylen Bell; her siblings, Jamie Richardson, Juanita Harris and Janice Richardson of Texarkana, TX and Bonnie Alexander of Stockton, CA; god-children, Trineisha Robinson, Shannon Buchanan, Justin Dorsey and Jade McFadden; her best friends, LaDonna "Cricket" Robinson, Mary Credit, Linda Buchanan, Wanda Sutton, Patricia Collins and Jean Matlock; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
