Mrs. Christine Green was born on May 17, 1940, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to the late Cecil and Virginia (Nash) Williams. She passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 84.
Christine graduated from Lincoln High School in San Diego, California, and later attended San Diego City College. She was blessed with two children, Tracy Weatherspoon and William (Jerome) Weatherspoon Jr., both of whom preceded her in death. Christine worked as a utilization technician at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California. In September 1981, she married the late Ulyeses Green and gained a stepdaughter, Rachel Green, who also preceded her in death.
Christine gave her life to Christ at an early age and remained a faithful servant throughout her life. After retiring from Scripps Memorial Hospital, she returned to Texarkana and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she deeply loved her church family and formed a lifetime bond with her friends Ruby Rigsby, Janie Jones, Wayne McFerguson. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Christine's life was marked by love, faith, and dedication.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her grandson, Jordan Muhammad, and son-in-law, Willie Muhammad, both of Pomona, CA; sisters-in-law, Velma Wilburn of Maysville, KY, and Odessa Stewart of Sierra Vista, AZ; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Christine will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The viewing will take place at Haynes Mortuary, Inc., located at 7238 West 7th Street, Texarkana, TX, on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 P.M. The service will be officiated by Reverend Sheldon Williams of Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Garden, 826 N. Kings Hwy, Wake Village, TX.
