As of today there are 8 billion people under God's glowing Sun. There are but a few souls in this world who intentionally make an impact on the lives of each person they meet. Today we have the honor of laying to rest a woman whose light will forever illuminate our hearts - Cynthia Diane Solomon.

In 1961, Cynthia was born on a crisp March 11th, in the great city of Texarkana, AR. From the very beginning, she exhibited a boundless curiosity and an infectious enthusiasm for life. Her parents, Joseph Sr. & Lavada Lamay, quickly realized they had a unique and spirited child on their hands. She was surrounded by the full cast of siblings with a variety of comedic and wild personalities.

Cynthia was a precocious student of life and various disciplines. Cynthia's academic and athletic prowess opened doors to opportunities that transcended her small-town origins. After high school graduation, she earned a basketball scholarship to Shorter College. Her WNBA dreams were put aside after Clyde entered the military and was deployed to California. Despite her collegiate success, she left school and moved to Fort Ord, CA to be with the love of her life.

Never losing sight of the importance of family, the couple were blessed with two children - Fakesha and Kylon. Their household was a hub of creativity, laughter, and love. The Solomon residence became a haven for friends and colleagues but also a headquarters for the Golden Girls, the hardknock, pseudo-sorority of Cynthia's closest friends who all shared a magnetic charisma.

Cynthia's boundless energy extended beyond the confines of her academic pursuits. She launched a 30+ year career in Banking and finance industry but was also involved in Interior Design and Real Estate. She dedicated her time to various philanthropic causes which led her to ministry in 1998. She was elevated to the title of Elder in 2005 under the Leadership of Bibleway Ministry under Bishop David E. Wilson. From championing her entrepreneurial initiatives to Christian leadership, Cynthia's commitment would drive her to pursue her Bachelor in Business Administration in 2011 and ultimately she would finish her educational pursuits in 2023 with a Master of Divinity in Church Administration and was ABD and Doctrine of Ministry from (Texas Seminary Christian University).

Cynthia Solomon was a remarkable soul which was a source of wisdom and solace for those around her. We bid farewell to her on the 30th of November, 2023 where she was met by her parents Joseph Sr. and Lavada Lamay, and siblings Barbara "Bobbie" Taylor, Gloria Dixon, JoAnn Lamay, Janice Murbut, and Barry.

Cynthia Solomon is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Solomon, her children Fakesha Solomon-Knighten (Randon), Kylon Solomon, grandchildren: Kamron Solomon, Rhian Knighten, Joshua Johnson, Braylon Bryant, Kaylon Solomon, Andrew Harris, Kyla Solomon, and Micah Knighten and siblings: Joseph Jr "Blue" Lamay (Dorothy), Audrey "Nell" Green, Doris Harper, Sharon Hill, Ruben "Bulgie" Lamay (Cynthia), and Debra Huff (Gary).

We who remain now have the arduous task of becoming sanctuaries for memories, reflections and shared stories. Though we lay her down today, Cynthia is a dynamic testament to the enduring power of love, intellectual curiosity, and empathy for others. We are grateful for you Cynthia, sister, wife, mom, friend, minister, and Daughter of Zion.
