Dempsey Lee Edwards was born July 27, 1927 in Redwater, Texas to the late LuVenia Vaughn Murry and Erval Hall. God called her home on Thursday, November 28, 2019.

She united with Martin Chapel CME Church at an early age. She was united in marriage to Robert Edwards for over forty years.

Mrs. Edwards was a caretaker for over thirty years until she retired and became a housewife.

Her favorite shopping place was Dillard's where she bought and wore high end clothing, she also enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening and working in her flower beds. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and many other relatives.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Services will be Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Haynes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the directions of Haynes Mortuary, Inc.
