Only July 21, 1978, Devin was born in Texarkana, Texas. He was the second child born to Emma House Hudson and the late Robert James Harrison. He confessed Christ at an early age at the Prosperity Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas.
Devin graduated from the New Boston High School in May 1996. After high school, he began his career in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, receiving an Honorable Discharge as an Aviation Resource Management. While serving his country, he was presented with several medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and numerous others. Devin's career continued at Red River Army Depot for 8 years. His last job was Supervisory Supply Specialist Branch Chief, Customer Service Support Branch, Depot Property Division.
Devin departed this earthly life on May 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by: his father, Robert Harrison; grandparents, Eugene and Everline House, George Harrison and Willie Mae Edwards.
He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife, LaQuita Harrison of Texarkana, TX; stepdaughters, Kaliyah (Cody) Johnston of Ashdown, AR and Kiondra Daniels of Texarkana, TX; his mother, Emma House Hudson of New Boston, TX; three brothers, Jared (Kathie) Harrison of Cedar Park, TX, Myron Mitchell of New Boston, TX, and Gavin Mitchell of Maud, TX; three sisters, Lou Ella (Elijah) DeLee of Bossier City, LA, Tyra Myrks of Texarkana, TX, and Audra (Marcus) White of Mt. Pleasant, TX; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Prosperity Baptist Church with viewing beginning at 11AM. Interment will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Online registration is availble at www.haynesmortuary.com.
