Earnest Turner ("E.T.") was born to the late Earl and Ocie Bell Turner on February 1, 1948 in Texarkana, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church, and graduated from Macedonia High School in 1966.
After high school, he served in the United States Army for 2 years. He was later employed at International Paper for 30+ years, where he retired as a supervisor and remained an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church until his passing.
He quietly departed this life on February 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ocie Turner; father, Earl Turner; and brothers, Embry Humphrey and Bennie Turner.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 26 years, Charley Turner of Texarkana, Texas; his daughters, Kempshia Turner of Rome, Italy; Deanna (Damon) Turner-Payne of Corinth, Texas; Latricia Turner of McKinney, Texas; Faydra Turner of McKinney, Texas; Shannon Hodge of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Greta Rocchi of Rome, Italy, Ally Payne of Corinth, Texas; Kandice Easter of Houston, Texas; Kanisha Hodge of Longview, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Kaliyah Easter, Caranza Easter, and Cartier Easter of Houston, Texas, and Aaron Willis of Longview, Texas; his sisters, Ruth Wyatt of Corinth, Texas; Jeraldine Scott of Nash, Texas; Patricia Price of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Carolyn Gibson of Texarkana, Texas; sister-in-law, Bobbie Turner, and a host of other relatives and friends.
