Earnestine Forte was born September 28, 1944 in New Boston, Texas to the late John Jefferson and Anner Mary Jefferson. She departed this life on November 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Flora  Jefferson-Richards.

Earnestine attended New Boston Central High School. She united in marriage to the love of her life, Vern Forte. To this union, four children were born. She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She owned and operated her own business doing what she loved, helping the developmentally disabled live more fulfilling lives until her health started to fail her.

Grandma always said one of the most precious gifts she received in life was the family she cherished. Her dedication to her family was always strong and steady in good times and bad. Grandma had a generous heart and always a kind word for her fellow man. She could always point out the good in everything. She loved playing cards and could always be found during a family event playing spades and asking why none of us knew how to play Bid Wiz.

Grandma, though you have been called home, your loving generous spirit will remain with us forever. Your family and friends will love and miss you until we all meet again.
