Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Johnson Hubbard was born on April 29, 1928, in Hooks, Texas. She was born into a family of eight children to the late Frank and Aranna Ivory Johnson. Elizabeth was the daughter of a farmer and a beautiful mother that was a very good cook.

Elizabeth accepted Christ at a very earl age. Elizabeth and her family became members of Cedar Grove Baptist Church where she remained a member throughout her life. She attended public school in her community called Red Bank Elementary. Red Bank was a public school each day and a church on Sundays, which was held in the same small building. She continued her studies into high school. Many years later she met and married Julius Ceasar Hubbard. To this union, eight children were born. They were married for 70 years. Mrs. Hubbard worked many years at Lone Star Ammunition Plant and Hooks Independent School District. She was the perfect mother to her children: Charles, Dollie, Ozie B., Vivian, Patricia, Julius Jr., Carvin, John, Larry, and Darrell.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank and Aranna Johnson; three sons, Charles, Larry, and Carvin Hubbard; one brother, Frank Jr.; and four sisters, Lucille, Tina, Christine, and Berdie.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Dollie Jackson of Lynwood, CA, Ozie B. (Richard) Berry of Hooks, TX, Vivian (James) Hicks of Desoto, TX, Patricia Lewis of Los Angeles, CA, Julius Jr. (Maureen) Hubbard of Jacksonville, FL, John (Rosie) Hubbard of Compton, CA, and Darrell Hubbard of Lancaster, TX; two sisters, Mamie Sutton and Ann Carter; three sisters-in-law, Crystal Hubbard, Vivian Smith, and Uneeda Turner; as well as 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
