Sis. Ellen Vernell Lee Moore was born April 18, 1944 in Naples, Texas to the late Willie D. and Harriett Lee. She was a 1962 graduate of Carver High School, Naples, TX, and later received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Texarkana College. She retired from Red River Federal Credit Union after 41 years of services, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President.

Sis. Moore was a faithful member for more than 40 years of the Greater New Hope Baptist Church where she served as a Youth Director, Chairman of Trustees, and a Finance Committee Member. She has also served as Dean of Zion District Congress of Christian Education, former secretary of Women's Auxiliary of BM&E State Convention, former assistant secretary of BM&E State Congress of Christian Education, and Coordinator of Christian Education of National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.

Sis. Moore departed this earthly life on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Edward "Sonny" Lee, and daughter, Cynthia Moore Boyce.

She is survived by: bonus son, Brian K. Moore (LaSheene) of San Antonio, TX; brother, William C. Lee of Texarkana, TX; grandsons, Kendrick Boyce (Laquinta Wrightner) of Texarkana, TX and Kerry Boyce of Texarkana, TX; granddaughter, Keaundrea Boyce (Myron Elkins) of Ashdown, AR; great-grandchildren, Michelle Moore of San Antonio, TX, Anthony Moore of Houston, TX, and Kiarra Williams, Steven Williams III and Kendrick Boyce Jr. of Texarkana, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.
