Ellis Wilson was born in Maud, Texas August 1, 1938. God called him home on February 2nd at Waterton Plaza Retirement Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Wilson and Berniece Edmond, the love of his life - Florine Lampkins, uncle - Robert Edwards, aunt - Willis Sanders, niece - Vickie Brown, mother-in-law - Lorene Vaughn and daughter - Gwendolyn "Peadee" Wilson.
Mr. Wilson accepted Christ at an early age at Martin Chapel CME Church in Redwater, Texas. He graduated from Macedonia High School. He was employed with Texana Tank as a car knocker until his retirement.
Ellis loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends watching football and eating delicious food cooked by his children. He would always greet and end the conversation with his famous quote: "How you like me now".
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters - Bridgett Riley, Schulandria Wilson-Lampkin (Vandy) and Brenda Wilson; four sons - James R. Riley (Rose), Rickey Riley (Sharon), Michael Wilson and Bryant Wilson (Linda); four grandsons, three granddaughters, several sisters and brothers-in-law as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
