On December 6, 1968, John L. Collier and Maretta Gentry Collier, welcomed Frank Anthony Collier into the world as their third child out of four. From a young age, Frank's kindness, laughter, and strength of character shone brightly. He graduated with honors from Delight Public Schools as part of the Class of '88, where he thrived as a dedicated member of the basketball, baseball, and track teams, and actively participated in FFA, FHA, and the Gifted and Talented Program. His accomplishments were many, but it was his kindness and infectious joy that left the deepest mark on everyone blessed to know him.
Frank proudly served his country for 27 years in the U.S. Army, living a life defined by honor, courage, and integrity. While in reserve for the military he also worked at Firestone, Cooper Tire, and Union Pacific Railroad as a train engineer. Away from his duties, he found true peace and fulfillment in the simple joys of life - especially his love for fishing and hunting, where he could embrace nature's calm.
To all who crossed his path, Frank was a gentle soul who made everyone he met feel like an old friend. His warmth, generosity, and radiant laughter were gifts he freely shared, brightening the lives of all around him. As a deacon at Atlanta Street Church of Christ, his unwavering faith and dedication to his community through the food bank, vacation bible school, church camp and church maintenance were powerful reflections of his caring heart. One of his favorite ways to show his love for the church was cooking large and delicious meals for all to enjoy. He was a valued member of the congregation and will be greatly missed.
Frank was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents John L. Collier and Marretta G. Collier and his grandparents Eddis Gentry Sr. and Gracie Bell Gentry, and David Collier and Edna Mae Collier.
He leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by his devoted wife, Denice Collier, and their beloved children: Keiundra (Darius Griffith) Collier, Deanthony (Cierra Leblanc) Collier, Mikaela Collier, and John Collier. His cherished grandchildren, Willow and Adonis, brought immeasurable joy to his life. Frank's memory will also be held dear by his siblings: Eddie Lee Gentry, David Louis (Lakeeta) Collier, and Angela Jeanette (Sterling) Samuel. Along with a host of loving aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, they will forever treasure the gift of his life.
Frank's kindness, strength, and laughter will echo throughout our hearts forever. He was a man of faith, family, and unwavering friendship - a beacon of love whose light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all blessed to have known him.
