Obituary

Glen Dale Alexander (Glendale), age 63 of New Boston, Texas passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
Glendale was born February 7, 1961, in Redwater, Texas to the late Lorene Vaughn and Newton Alexander. Glendale, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, attended Redwater Shools and was a member of Martin Chapel CME Church of Redwater where he accepted Christ at an early age. He was a skilled carpenter who thought if it was broken, he sure could fix it. He had a mastery in karate which represented a black belt that meant he was experienced with expertise in his rank.
He is preceded in death by: his mother, Lorene Vaughn; father, Newton Alexander; one son, Glendale Delaney; three sisters, Florine Lampkins, Annie Vaughn, and Vickie Brown; and two nieces, Gwen Wilson and Renita Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory: five daughters, Carshetta Websters, Quinn Jefferson, And LaQuinsha Alexander of Texarkana, TX, Gwen Conkelton of New Boston, TX, and Glenda Delaney of Dallas, Texas; one son, Marshall Conkleton of Redwater, Texas; god-daughter, Lacy Reed; bonus children, Jason Delaney, Lacorie Delaney, Michael Reed, Eddie Jackson, Shartavia Jackson, and Tabitha Hill; sisters, Sherron Brown, Joyce Brown, Sandra (Allen) Harris of Texarkana, Texas, and Alice (Ervin) Hall of Redwater, Texas;brothers, Morris Dedmon of Redwater, TX, Ray Charles (Dorothy) Vaughn of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Ernest Johnson of Texarkana, Texas; as well as 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Alexander will be Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5 to 7 at Haynes Mortuary. Service will be 1:00PM at Hopewell Temple CME Church. Online registration is available at www.haynesmortuary.com
