Hamp Hall, Jr. was born August 22, 1943 in Texarkana, AR to the late Dora Price and Hamp Hall, Sr. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He was a former employee of Lone Star Ammunitions and was later employed with Domtar before retiring after 28 years of service.

In 1962, Hamp married Everlene Birl and to this union six children were born: Connie, Greg, Hamp III, Timothy, Patrick, Corey.

Hamp departed this earthly life on Monday, April 19, 2021 in Marshall, TX. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Parks and Hazel Stuckey, and one brother, Aaron Hall.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife, Everlene Hall; one daughter, Connie Sims (Cleveland); sons, Greg Hall (Debbie), Hamp Hall, II, Timothy Hall (Toyia), Patrick Hall (Nikki) and Corey Hall (Cynthia); two sisters, Patsy Bridgewater and Ruby Holmes; as well as 15 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
