Helen Ann Thornton was a caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She wore many hats. She was born to Maggie Williams in Texarkana, TX. Helen passed suddenly on July 17, 2021 at the age of 69.

Helen graduated from Texas High School then married Howard Thornton, Sr. on November 30, 1971. To this union, three children were born, Erica D. Thornton, Howard C. Thornton, Jr. and Brian C. Thornton. Helen worked as a school secretary for over 20 years. She did volunteer work for her community and church after her retirement. She did all she could for those who were in need.

Helen's only goals were to touch the lives of others, keep her family together and do the will of God. She did a wonderful job! She never met a stranger and if she could do anything for them, she would with no hesitations. She had a very kind and warm spirit.

She was preceded in death by: her dear husband, Howard Thornton, Sr.; her mother, Maggie Williams; in-laws, Dorothy & Shedrick Thornton; sister, Elmer Ree Jones; and many other relatives.

Remaining to cherish her memories are: her precious children, Erica Thornton, Howard (Yolander) Thornton, Jr. and Brian Thornton; four sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
