IRENE LOIS BLOCK WALKER, 99, of Texarkana, Texas transitioned peacefully in Conroe, Texas on Sunday, May 4th.

Irene was born January 28, 1926. She was a retired housekeeper. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Ruth Chapter Number 30 and a faithful member of Miles Chapel CME.

Irene was predeceased by her loving husband, George Walker, together they raised three children, Howard Walker, Sr. and Delores Walker of Texarkana, Texas and Shanette Hatcher of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27th at Haynes Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Freddie L. Smith, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. prior to funeral service.
