Our community sadly lost a pillar on Sunday, August 18, 2019, when Jacqueline D. Rivers, favorably known as Jackie passed away from natural causes at her home. She was born in Beaumont, TX on August 5, 1957, and departed from us at the age of 62. Her contribution to the lives of many includes her love for music and taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her mother Myrtis P. Williams and father Edgar Williams, Sr.

Jackie is survived by her nephew El Marcus Williams of Texarkana, TX. Two sisters: Redona Williams of Milwaukee, WI; Showne Williams of Texarkana, TX. Seven brothers: Gus Hubbard of New Boston, TX; Edgar Williams Jr. (Shayla) of Texarkana, TX; Fred Williams (Loretta) of Milwaukee, WI; George Brown (Angela) of Texarkana, TX; Joseph Williams (EulonDrese) of Texarkana, TX; David Williams (Betty) of Hooks, TX; and Darrearl Williams (Nicole) of Dallas, TX. Special Cousin: Betty Clark-Wilson of Texarkana. Husband: Walter Rivers of Texarkana, AR.

Funeral services for Jackie will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Macedonia Baptist Church 158 Payton Road, Texarkana, TX with the Revs. Phil Willis and David Cooke officiating. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
