James E. Cunningham, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at the age of 86, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Born on May 23, 1938, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Janice J. Cunningham, with whom he shared 67 happy years. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Jan Rampy, James E. Cunningham Jr., and Joni Wright. He took great pride in his family and cherished the time spent with them.

As a grandfather to eleven grandchildren-Ryan Crabbe, James E. Cunningham III, Alan Hightower, Drew Rampy, Blake Crabbe, Cody Cunningham, C.D. Hightower, Cassie Crabbe, Tye Crabbe, Britt Rampy, and Dylan Rampy-James was a source of joy, wisdom, and guidance. His love extended further to many great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

James was known for his warm spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering kindness and patience. He left a lasting impact on all who knew him, and his legacy will continue through the family he cherished.

He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of James's life will be held by his family to honor a man who brought so much joy to those around him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
