Janette Luckey Battle was born March 10, 1945 in Bryan Mills, TX to the late Johnny B. and Ouida M. Cooper Luckey. She was a graduate of Panhandle High School in Douglassville, TX.

Janette was a member of Enon First Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the Willing Workers Circle of Mission Ministry, the choir and Unity District Women's Auxiliary.

Janette transitioned from time to eternity on Friday, April 16, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Armistic L. Battle, Sr.; two sons; her step-daughter; and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Alvin LaRay Battle (Sylinda) of Douglassville, TX; two brothers, Arnold Luckey (Annie) of Texarkana, TX and James Luckey of Atlanta, TX; two sisters, Arnita Fields and Vertina F. Lawson of Marietta, TX; daughter-in-law, Brandy Battle of Douglassville, TX; as well as 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a special great-niece, Kimberly Dickerson of Atlanta, TX, and a host of other relatives and friends.
