Jean Evelyn Gaston was born on January 27, 1943, in Douglassville, TX to the parentage of George Rowe I and Beatrice Walthal.
Mrs. Gaston was a gifted seamstress who could make clothes as if they were sold off the rack of Macy's or any well-known department store. Not only was she known for sewing, but she was also a skilled artist with ceramics and crocheting and known for her delicious culinary dishes. One of her favorite hobbies/pastimes was manicuring her lawn on her zero-turn (Bad Boy) lawnmower and traveling throughout the United States and abroad.
Her love for God and Family was expressed by the way she deeply cared for family, friends and acquaintances. This was demonstrated by the numerous times she would answer late night knocks on the door for assistance, attending a grandchild's game, recital, school program, graduation, etc. Also, the many times she cared for and nurtured sick family members without hesitation.
Mrs. Jean Evelyn Gaston departed this life on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E. Gaston and her son, Gerald G. Gaston Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: Son, Dominic E. (Angela) Gaston Sr. , Beech Island, SC; Daughter, Sekeithia M. (Robert) Lawson, Douglassville, TX; Special Niece, Kimberely J.
