Johnnie Faye Jackson, known as "Chimmie"- a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend graced the earth with her presence on June 25, 1955, in Texarkana, Texas to parents, Johnnie Thomas and Minnie Pearl Butler, fought and won her final earthly battle on February 21, 2021.
In her youth, Johnnie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior and was a faithful servant in His Kingdom. Johnnie served God, His people, and Grace & Mercy C.O.G.I.C. as an evangelist telling people simply and clearly what God says concerning His Son Jesus Christ. Her message was clear, "Stay prayerful and repent."
As Johnnie takes her final victory lap, she leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 28 years, James Jackson; three daughters: Tedra (Lydale) Woods, Kiwona Wesson, and Dr. Kimberly (Faron, Jr.) Ellison. One son, Kiwon Pierson. Two sisters: Melba Butler and Lois Smith. One brother, Olan (Cassandra) Butler. Eight Grandsons: LaRozi Davis, LaJonte Davis, Trevion Johnson, Devion Johnson, Jayvon Pierson, Dominique Wesson, Eric Wakefield, and Faron Ellison, III. Three Granddaughters: Alexandria Towery, Emani Pierson, and McKinley Ellison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Thomas, and mother, Minnie Pearl Butler. Her four brothers: Henry Butler, Robert Butler, Tommie Butler, and Leslie Butler. One granddaughter, McCarley Ellison. One nephew, Thaddius Butler. One son-in-law, Jimmy Wesson.
Johnnie was a member of Liberty-Eylau c/o 1974.
