Jonathan Gaines was born April 27, 2000 to Denison and Timolin Gaines in New Boston, Texas. He was raised in a place he loved, Ogden, AR.

He was a true believer in Jesus and attended church.

Jonathan graduated from Ashdown High School in 2017

"JonJon" was a cowboy through and through, sought after for his horsemanship and creativity. He was well known for his big personality and his even bigger heart. He was well known in the area and even in other countries.

On June 21, 2020 Jonathan left this earth and gained his wings with the angels. He is preceded in death by his uncles Jeffery L. Gaines and Sullivan Starks III (Coon).

Those left to cherish him are: his parents, Denison and Timolin Gaines of Ogden, AR; sister, Dara Gaines of Ogden, AR; grandparents, Sullivan Starks Jr, Willie Starks, George Gaines, and Elvessie Curry; aunts, Rosalind Alcorn and Amanda Thaxton of Dallas, TX and Daphane Austn (Jamie) of Jackson, MS; uncles, Darryl Starks of Ogden, AR, Roderick Starks of Texarkana, TX and Mike Lee of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of cousins, other relatives and so many special friends.
