Julius Wade Burnett was born April 4, 1958 to Julius and Dorothy Burnett in Texarkana, Ark. He graduated from Liberty -Eylau High School in 1976. He was well known for his skills on the basketball court. He received many accreditation for his ability to play the game so well.
He worked many years at Wadley Regional Medical Center as a security officer. Later he was employed by the City of Texarkana, Texas until retirement.
During his early years Julius had his first son named Reginald Renard Dodd (Peter) with Joyce E. Ross. Later Julius married Hazel Belcher and to that union Julius Burnett III was born, also known as 'Lil Jay". Most recently, he married Rosalind Johnson on June 22, 2022.
Julius was an avid sports fan and love the games of football, basketball and baseball. He loved spending time with his family and cooking on the grill.
Julius was preceded in death by: his father, Julius Burnett Sr., his uncle, Bobby Lewis, his aunt, Bonnie Battle, his brother, David Burnett, his grandson, Kendrick Deaver, and his grand daughter, Jahnari Kai Jackson.
Survivors include: wife, Rosalind Burnett of Wake Village ,TX: mother, Dorothy Burnett of Texarkana, TX: mother-in-law, Gladys Hasbrouck of Texarkana, TX: sons, Reginald Dodd of Texarkana, TX, Julius Burnett III of Texarkana, TX, Carpius Dodd of Jacksonville, FL and Antonio "Tony" Ross of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Jasmine Eaton of Texarkana, TX, Ramon Ravious Burnett "Trey" of Texarkana, TX, Marlon Bland of Texarkana, TX, Kendal Dodd of Houston, TX, Enzo Crainer of Dallas, TX, Rashod Dodd of Ashdown, AR, Carrter Dodd of Jacksonville, FL and Carleigh Dodd of Jacksonville, FL, Asia Williams of Dallas,TX, Cory Ross of Texarkana, TX, Antone Ross of Texarkana, TX, Jayce Ross of Dallas, TX and Bren'lle Ross of Dallas, TX.
A host of great grandchildren and many other family members and friends that he loved dearly.
