Keith Lenard Morton, Sr. was born October 28, 1962 to the late John Maurice (Pedie) Morton and Valjean Blanco at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Keith departed this life on July 11th. He was preceded in death by his father, wife and grandparents, Sherman and Helen Robinson.

Keith married Yvette Shavon Green Morton on January 18, 1986. Together they raised their son Keith Lenard Morton, Jr. Keith retired from the US Army in 2003 after 20 years of service. He completed a Bachelor of Social Science degree from Troy State University in 2002. While in the service he began his career as a field medic and exited as an air traffic controller. He started at Adacel Systems, Inc. as a Subject Matter Expert in Air Traffic Control Simulation. His favorite things were spending time with his wife, cooking, history, politics and Go-Go music.

Keith leaves behind many to cherish his fond memories: his son - Keith Jr., Aunt - Annie L. Miles; Stepmother - Vallie R. Green; Siblings: Kenneth Morton (Vikki), Kim Morton-Pradd (Carlton), Carmen Blanco, Tunya' Green, Michelle King (Fredrick), Tarus Green (Shae), Nieces & nephews: Jade, Gerrard (Heather), Nicholas, Robert D., Marilyn J., Leah, Jaiden. Rylee, Wynter, Markell and Robert D. Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services under the direction of Haynes Mortuary will be Saturday, July 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Galloway Cemetery in Kildare.
