Larry was born in Texarkana, Texas on May 6, 1952. He was the fifth child of twelve born to Felix Baker and Geneva Washington.

Larry graduated from Texas High School and was employed at Precision Metal until his retirement. He joined the Mt. Orange Baptist Church at an early age. He served as Usher President, worked with the Brotherhood and sang with the Male Chorus.

Larry departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Felix Baker and Geneva Washington; brothers, Lunnie Charles, Earl and Johnny Lee; and sisters, Jenny Sinclair and Joyce Smith.

He leaves beautiful memories with: his son, Michael Washington;  daughters, Chrystal Johnson of Texarkana, Texas and Tameka Johnson of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Nyeshia Washington of Leavenworth, Kentucky and Tayloree Johnson of Texarkana, Texas; great-grandchildren, Amerriona, Daivion, Daveah and Michael J. Washington; brothers, Paul (Laura) Washington, W.D. (Terri) ???? of Dallas, Texas, Frank Washington of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Leonard (Kay) Baker of Atlanta, Texas; sisters, Verna Tate, Evelyn Lousie Washington (Earnes Hankins), Angela Jackson (Russell White), Vickie Howard all of Texarkana, Texas and Secclia Nwaezeapu of Dallas, Texas; godsons,  Argentina Hunter and Curtis Hunter of Texarkana, Texas; special childhood friend, Roy Lee Solomon; special nephews, Derrick Washington of Dallas, TX Tavorris Washington of Stafford, Virginia; aunts, Birdie Evans of Victorville, California and Betty Henderson of Doddridge, Arkansas; special niece, Sherika Campbell; special friend, Mae Lee Arnold; and a host of relatives and friends.
