Laura E Glass, 87 of Texarkana, Arkansas died on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas.

Mrs. Laura Etta "Laura" Ellis Glass was born November 9, 1938, in Texarkana, Texas, to the parentage of Luke Ellis and Gussie Jones Ellis.  She received her formal education in the Macedonia School System.  She attended Texarkana College and was the first black teller at 1st National Bank, Texarkana, Texas.  Laura was a faithful member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church, where she served in multiple capacities.

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Laura peacefully transitioned from labor to reward.  She was preceded in death by her parents Luke and Gussie Ellis; brother, Jake Ellis; sister, Katherine "Goldean" Malone and beloved son, Victor Rene Cannon.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Visitation:  Friday, May 8th from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M.

Funeral service:  Saturday,May 9th at 11:00 A.M.         Both services will be at the Haynes Mortuary - 7238 W 7th Street.
