L. D. Noel, 95, of New Boston, Texas went to be with Lord on Friday, November 20, 2020 Our Dad was born to the late Willie Noel and the late Vaseline Forte on September 22, 1925 in new Boston, Texas. He attended school at Arkadelphia School until the 9 th grade. Dad left school at an early age to work to help support his family financially. He later earned his GED. He joined the United States Navy in December 1943 and served 2 years with an honorable discharge in December 1945. After returning home, he married his love, the late Hazel Liggins Noel, November 23, 1946. They were together 65 years. Dad united with the Arkadelphia Baptist Church and served faithfully until his health failed. He loved his church family and his community. Dad served many years as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He retired from Red River Army Depot after 35 years of service in January 1982. He was proceeded in death by his father, Willie Noel, mother Vaseline Forte Noel, brother Jessie Noel and sister Willie Marie Traylor. Left to cherish his precious memories are 2 sons, Don Noel, Sr., Larry Noel, Sr., 5 daughters, Sharon (Leo) Adams, Rosalind Henderson, Sharon Johnson, Chequita (Anthony) Gant, Shamarion Judd; 16 Grandchildren-Regina Graham, Don Noel, Jr, Jeremy Noel, Tameka Noel, Ron Wickware, April Forte, Amanda Forte, Shauntrey Noel, Larry Noel, Jr., Tamika Brown, Randall Henderson, Rickie Henderson, Jr., Kyran Noel, Aaron Johnson, McEntry Dunbar II, James Dunbar, Torian Noel; 42 great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
