Obituary

Lillie Mae Johnson "Big Mama", 89 of Texarkana,Texas  transitioned home on Friday, November 20, 2020 in a local hospital.  Lillie was born to the late William Johnson and Martha Ann Nash on April 25, 1931 in Kildare, Texas.

She retired from the Lone Star Ammunition Plant after 40 years of service. After retirement she served her community helping bring love, life, and ministry support to all that may have needed her skills and wisdom. She was an active member  and mother of Christ Nations Church, Texarkana,Texas.

Preceding her in death: her father, William Johnson, her mother, Martha Ann Nash, sisters, Minnie Little,Mozell Monroe, and Rosie Lee Armington;brothers, Malvern Johnson Sr.,Ambus Johnson.

Left to cherish her memories and ongoing legacy; four beautiful daughters,Patricia J. Greer(Charles), LaJoyce Allen(R.C.), Debara Tumblin(Willie), and Sherel Johnson: one  very brave son, Charles Johnson Sr. two sisters, Louise Bellinger and Annette Johnson ,Baytown, Texas; one brother, Wilton Chance(Nettie) Dallas, Texas.

Lillie was the very proud grandmother of  21 grandchildren,52 great grandchildren, 40 great- great grandchildren. She had a host of nephews and nieces and she loved each of them in a very unique way.

The Celebration Of Life will be held Saturday, November 28,2020 at 11:00 am at Christ Nations Church. Lillie will lay in repose for public viewing from 5-7 pm Friday, November 27,2020 at Haynes Mortuary. Her remains will be deposited at Chapelwood Memorial Garden under the direction of Haynes Mortuary, Inc.
