Margie Ree Craver was born on April 17, 1937, to the late James and Maggie Mae Smith in Bivins, Texas.

Margie graduates from Fairview High School in Linden, Texas in 1956, where she was the Valedictorian of her class as well as the valedictorian of her elementary class.

In 1953 and 1956, she was crowned Queen of Fairview High School.

Margie was united in holy matrimony to the late Issac Craver Jr. To this union, two wonderful sons were born Glen Cedric of Texarkana, Texas and James Ernest Craver of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Margie accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Later she united with the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mission Ministry, choir member, and Program Committee Chairperson.

Margie worked at various jobs throughout her life. She was a devoted employee and excelled in all her endeavors. She was a very hard worker and loved others. She later retired from Red River Army Depot. Retiring allowed her more time to do what she loved such as writing poems. She also had a passion for writing a book.

Margie departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Glen Cedric (Jackie) Craver of Texarkana, Texas and James Ernest (Sharon) Craver of Ft. Worth, Texas; four granddaughters, Tameka L. Hunter, Tamara C. Craver, Jameka Craver and Jasmyn Gregory; one grandson, Corey Hill; three very special nephews, Anthony R. Coleman, Allan B. Coleman and Roy H. Coleman III. She also leaves to mourn three great-grandchildren and an extended family which includes a very loyal and special cousin, Sue Peters, and a host of other loving family members and two special friends Nellye Dunbar and Gwen Williams.
