Margie Marie Duson Dodd was born January 2, 1923 in Bradley, Arkansas to the late Matt and Tera Harris. She married Tobe Duson and to this union nine (9) children were born. She later married Rev. Davis Dodd.

Margie accepted Christ at a very early age at the St. Mathis Baptist Church in Bradley, Arkansas. She later moved her membership to St. Stephens Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. She faithfully served with the Zion District Baptist Association, Texarkana Prayer Band and was one of the lead singers with The Voices of Faith.

Margie retired from a career in production.

On the morning of May 11, 2020, Margie was summoned by her Lord and Savior to be apart of the Heavenly Choir. She was preceded in death by: four (4) sisters, five (5) brothers and two (2) children, Shirley Solomon and Tobe Duson, Jr.

She leaves to cherish loving memories:

She also leaves special friends, Isaac "Ike" Fulton, Helen Lindley, Edna Larry, three (3) step-children, eighteen (18) grandchildren, thirty-seven (37) great-grandchildren, seventeen (17) great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
