Marjorie Gail Walker was born May 12, 1945 in DeKalb, Texas to the union of Booker and Lena Seals Walker. She was the fifth of eleven children.
Marjorie confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at the St. Paul Baptist Church in DeKalb, Texas. She later united with the Union Hill Baptist Church, the Charity Baptist Church, and most recently the Mt. Orange Baptist Church. She loved serving on the Usher Board until her passing.
Marjorie received her formal education at the Marvin Pynes High School in DeKalb, Texas. She later attended Prairie View A&M University. She was employed at Wadley Regional Medical Center for 39 years as a desk clerk in the labor and delivery department before retiring.
"Margie", as she was lovingly called, enjoyed spending time with family, slot machines, cook-outs, and traveling. She was a very loving and giving person.
"Margie" departed this earthly life on June 7, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Earl Walker, Wallace Walker, Truman Walker, Charles Walker, and James Walker; half-brother, Thaddeus Walker; sisters, Roxie Walker Jackson, Myrtle Frances Walker Bowden, and Gloria Faye Walker Childs; aunt, Adean Seals Woods; and uncle, Frank Stewart;
She leaves to cherish loving memories: sisters, Eyvonne Walker Daniels (Charles) and Carolyn Walker; sister-in-law, Betty Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
