Mary Carleen Evans was born July 2, 1954, to Anvil and Caroline Malbrough in Lafayette, LA
Mary spent her childhood growing up in Cankton, LA. She was married to her loving husband Eddie Evans, Jr, for 49 years, and to this union, three handsome sons were born: Eddie, Anvil, and Jonathan.
Mary was a loving, caring, faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and everyone she met. She, along with her husband, founded The Way of Holiness Ministries, where she served as an Evangelist. Mary took the art of cake decorating to new heights with her bakery, Just For You Shapes of Cakes. She was best known for her What-A-Cupcakes, a crafted one-of-a-kind cupcake.
She was an artist in many ways; crocheting and painting pictures are a few of her greatest talents.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: her husband, Eddie Evans, Jr. of Texarkana, TX; two sons, Eddie Evans, III (Angela) of Texarkana, TX and Jonathan Carl Evans (India) of Tyler, TX; four granddaughters, Alexandrea Evans, Faith Evans, Sarah Evans, and Angel Evans; one grandson, Jonathan Evans, Siblings: Vivian Alfred of Sunset, LA, Yvonne Malbrough (Amos) of Sunset, LA; Floyd Malbrough (Clara) of Opelousas, LA, Paul Malbrough (Rose) of Alexandria, LA, John Malbrough (Shevella) of Cankton, LA; sister in laws: Patricia Green (Marvin) of Melville, LA, Debra Metoyer (David) of Tyler, TX, Tammy Levier (Roland) of Melville, LA, Marie Malbrough of Crowley, LA , Debra Malbrough of Sunset, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Anvil and Caroline Malbrough ; Son Anvil Jamal Evans; siblings, Earl Malbrough, Elmo Malbrough, Anvil Gabriel Malbrough, Father, and Mother-In-Law: Isaiah And Mildred Evans, sister in law Joan Malbrough; Brother in law, Clarence Alfred,Charles Malbrough.

The family will have a memorial service in her honor, filled with stories, memories, love, and laughter Friday, February 17, 2023 11am at Haynes Mortuary 7238 West 7th Street
