Michael Charles Gullatt, age 56, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.
Michael was born on October 14, 1967, to the late Sarah and John Gullatt. He dedicated his life to Christ at the tender age of 10 at Mount Orange Baptist Church, where he found solace and spiritual guidance throughout his journey.
A diligent and hardworking individual, Michael devoted over 25 years of his life to his cherished role at Bryce's Cafeteria, where his dedication and commitment shone brightly.
In his leisure time, Michael found joy in various activities, including basketball, football, and wrestling. He was an avid enthusiast of TV shows, but his true passion lay in the game of dominoes, where he shared countless memorable moments with friends and family.
Michael's presence was a beacon of light in any room he entered, his warm smile and kind heart touching the lives of all who knew him. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent in their company.
Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sarah and John Gullatt, his grandparents, Lina and Jack Moore, and Frankie and Ernest Gullatt, as well as his brothers Wayne and Bobby Gullatt.
He is survived by his dear brothers John Gullatt of Texarkana AR, Emmanuel Maxwell, Jackie Gullatt of Texarkana Texas, and Earnest Gullatt of Tyler Texas. Sisters, Dorothy Gullatt, Angela Gullatt, and Conesha Gullatt of Texarkana Texas. He also leaves behind a special nephew and niece, Lavarren and Heather Gullatt of Texarkana AR, a special friend, Melvina Johnson of Texarkana AR, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on May 24, 2024, at 2 pm, at Haynes Mortuary, Officiating Pastor Johnny Riley Jr, Burial Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gullatt family in Michael's honor.
