Narlean Lewis of Texarkana, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2023. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Narlean was born July 13, 1937 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Jeffery & Sarah Lewis. She retired from Holiday Inn after many years of employment. She was a loving and giving person known as "Grandma" by all the youth in the neighborhood. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Narlean was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Gary Lewis, her daughter, Belinda Elliott, sister, Doris Jackson, brothers, Wavie T Jones, Joseph Lewis and Booker T Moore and one grandson, Victor Lewis.
Survivors include: three daughters, Cassandra (Tracy) Cooper, Anita (Roger) Lewis and Arletha "Peggy" (late Willie) Carson all of Texarkana; one brother, Jeffery (late Shelia) Lewis of Douglasville, TX; two sisters, Janie (James) Fort of Hooks, TX and Aldonia Hill of Nash, TX; special niece, Sarah Toregano of Los Angeles, CA; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Narlean Lewis will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at Haynes Mortuary. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, May 12, 2023 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Online registration is available at www.haynesmortuary.com
