Nathaniel Alfonso "Nate" Ford, born November 8, 1938 in Bowie County, Texas, passed May 7, 2023 , at 84 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Blanche Ford, and a son, Lee Fernando Ford.

Nathaniel devoted 32 years of his life at Wadley Regional Medical Center as a supervisor. Mr. Ford served his community as a manger of Utilities Services for 17 years with the city of Texarkana. He enjoyed providing service in his community and giving back. Ford was also an Elder of the Jehovah Witness Congregation in Nash, Texas.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ethel Martin Ford. He will also be fondly remembered by his children Valencia Ford, Renee (Harry) Cravens, Samantha Gailes, Marsha Ford, Desiree Ford, Nathaniel Ford Jr., Keith (Sonia) Gailes, Tammy Holton, LaToya (Kenneth) Kines and Sherry Long. Mr. Ford will also be remembered by his twenty-two grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Ford will be 5 to 7 PM Friday, May 12, 2023, at Haynes Mortuary. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Kingdom Hall 1340 N Kings Highway Nash, Texas with burial in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Online registration is available at www.haynesmortuary.com
